The Carolinas Blood Services Region, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, is one of the largest American Red Cross blood regions in the country. It provides blood to hospitals in 82 counties in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia. About 6 million people live in the 36,000 square mile region.
